Lockwood R-I Staff Attends Distinction Banquet
March 11, 2008
On Friday, February 29th, some of the Lockwood R-I staff attended the Distinction Banquet at Missouri State University. The banquet honors each district in attendance with a framed copy certificate honoring each school for achieving Distinction in Performance. The Lockwood R-I School District received a 14 of 14 on the preliminary Annual Performance Report. The report details 6 MAP areas, ACT scores, Advanced Courses, Career Education courses, College Placement, Career Education Placement, Graduation Rate, Attendance Rate, and Subgroup Achievement. Scoring 14 allows the district to retain its Waiver of MSIP review, (Missouri School Improvement Program) for the school year. All area schools that received Distinction in Performance were invited to the banquet.
Mr.Rogers, Superintendent; Staci Bruner, Business Teacher and Technology Coordinator; Mr. Hackney, Elementary Principal; Kristen Caldwell, Special Education Teacher; Amy Eggerman, First Grade Teacher; Nina Huser, Reading Specialist; LaNita Hackney, Middle School Math Teacher; and Michael Blackford, Title One Math Teacher attended the banquet.
Presenting the awards to the district were members of the State Board of Education and Southwest RPDC. It was a nice meal followed by guest speakers and a video presentation.
Lockwood was well represented. It was a nice evening and an honor for all of our staff especially those that attended. Thanks to all the staff who gave up their Friday night to enjoy this special evening.
