Project Updates

Lockwood R-1 would like to thank Navitas and their subcontractors, Gold Mechanical, C&C Group, and BioStar Lighting, on the Lockwood School District Energy Performance Contract. We would especially like to thank Navitas Construction Manager, Richard Allen, for the well-coordinated and highly efficient effort to meet a very aggressive schedule. The Navitas team spent the last two weeks over Winter Break upgrading all of the rooftop HVAC for Lockwood High School and nearly all the HVAC system at Lockwood Elementary School. A Building Automation System (BAS) was also installed during this period to provide the District remote global access and greater control over their HVAC systems. Data analytics hardware and software were deployed, and once implemented, will allow Navitas to assist Lockwood School District in optimizing their building systems to capitalize on energy savings potential. BioStar Lighting completed retrofitting all interior lighting from fluorescent to LED lighting at both schools during the break. At the High School, Biostar installed all new gym lighting controlled by motion sensors to maximize energy savings. We were thankful to get this work done without disrupting our educational mission so teachers and students could come back after break to an energy efficient, brighter, and warmer building.

As we keep progressing through the projects, we will continue to update. We are continuing to upgrade the infrastructure and the building envelope for a more aesthetic and appealing appearance to our buildings, as well as continuing to increase energy efficiency. Attached are some pictures that we would like to share.
