Finding support for disabilities and developmental delays is a struggle in rural Missouri. Treatment and most support is usually in larger cities. Figuring out where to start is difficult, slow, lonely journey. This can be a burden on working families who want the best for a family member or friend. University of Missouri Extension, along with Missouri AgrAbility and ECHO Autism are partnering to bring you expert advice and a place to connect with families and professionals near you. The goal is to meet four times a year to provide a short educational program followed by small group discussion and open connection time. We hope this allows you to build a support system in your local community. If you have a family member with a need, want to help those with developmental disabilities or just want to learn more, please join us.

Join us for: Autism 101 and Next Steps, by Alicia Curran with ECHOautsim on Friday, June 25 from 5:00 – 6:30 pm at Immanuel Lutheran Church, snacks provided- please RSVP by Thursday, June 17. If interested in childcare, inquire by Thursday, June 17. This program is free and open to anyone wanting to learn more about any disability or developmental delay and those looking to find or provide support.  Contact: Jill Scheidt 417-682-3579
