Free Sports Physical Announcement/Reminder:
On Friday we handed out physical forms to 6th grade students and above to take home. Tomorrow during the school day we will have our free physical day. For those wanting to participate, just a reminder to bring back the physical forms signed and ready to go tomorrow.

JH/HS Lunch Update
Starting Thursday, 2/17 the cafeteria will resume having cheeseburgers as the second menu choice daily. Students will also be able to purchase a cheeseburger in addition to their meal for $1.50.
A la carte items will also resume as they become available (chips, cookies, etc.). Please be aware you will need to have money in your account to purchase a la-carte items.

JH Boys Conference Basketball Tournament Update:
The play in game to the JH Boys Conference Tournament has been rescheduled for tomorrow night. Miller vs Lockwood @ Lockwood starting at 5:30 with the A game followed by the B game. (We will not make up the regular season game vs Miller that was scheduled for last Thursday.)
Just a reminder that we were already schedule to have Monday, February 7 off. Classes will resume Tuesday, February 8!
Lockwood Athletics Update:
• All games/practices for Friday February 4th have been cancelled.
• We have rescheduled the high school basketball games at Miller for Thursday Feb. 10th starting at 5:00 pm with JV boys.
• Reminder that the rescheduled games at Everton will be on Monday Feb. 7th starting at 5:30 with our JV boys taking on the Everton varsity boys followed by varsity girls.
• The Junior High Conference Tournament games for Saturday have been postponed. If possible, we are trying move the whole tournament back a week. This will depend to an extent on official availability. I will let everyone know a final plan on this ASAP.
We have had 4 total snow days so far this year. We only have to make up 2 of those days which will be added on to the end of the year. Our last day of school as of now will be May 24.
Lockwood R-1 will NOT be in session Friday, February 4.

Coach Baker's Update
JH Basketball Conference Tournament:
I have seen some asking about details regarding the tournament. I will give you all the information I currently have.
We are hosting the tournament (both the A and B side).
Because there are 9 teams in the conference now, there must be a play in game between the 8 and 9 seeds. Those games (A and B) are scheduled to be played Wednesday night at 5:30 and 6:45.
There is an conference AD meeting scheduled for Wednesday morning. Seeding the tournament will happen at that meeting. I will be able to put the full bracket schedule out after that meeting. The first two rounds of the tournament are scheduled to take place Saturday 2/5 while the final round is set to take place on Wednesday 2/9.
All of this is subject to change depending on what the weather does and we are working on contingency plans. There are a lot of things to consider however, so we will take things in stride.
