The Lockwood Community Teachers Association will be celebrating Dr. Seuss's birthday with a spirit week starting Feb. 25 - March 1. This will be for PK-5th grade!
Monday: One Fish Two Fish, wear something red or blue
Tuesday: The Cat in the Hat, wear stripes or your favorite hat
Wednesday: Wack Wednesday, wear your clothes inside out or mismatched
Thursday: Green Eggs and Ham, wear something green
Friday: Sleep Book, Let's celebrate an entire day of reading. Wear pajamas or comfy clothes that are school appropriate.

Did you know that Lockwood and surrounding schools have a special classroom for students with higher needs? This special classroom is located in Jasper and helps students with higher needs in grades K-12! Just like any classroom, there are always needed supplies. A local baker is wanting to help satisfy these needs by selling cookies! A portion of the cookie sales will go towards the classroom which will allow the educators to purchase needed supplies. Physical day is today! Please have your students bring their forms filled out so they can take advantage of this opportunity to receive a free physical! It will be valid for the 2019-2020 school year!

Congratulations to John Schnelle! He won three area proficiencies Tuesday night for his efforts in SAE (Supervised Agricultural Experience) Project. John placed first in Diversified Agricultural Production, Diversified Crop Production, & Fiber & or Oil Crop Production. Only one can go on to state competition and he chose to send the Diversified Crop Production. Good luck, John!

The annual free physical day for grades 6-12 will be on Wednesday 2/20. Physical forms will be sent home at the end of this week.
