Second grade had a spooky good time celebrating today!
We would like to invite our Veterans and community to attend our annual Veterans Day Assembly on Friday, November 8th at 10:30 am. Prior to the assembly the Lockwood FCCLA will be serving refreshments for veterans and their families beginning at 9:45 am in the cafeteria.
**If any area family members have pictures of those that have served, the business department would love to include them along with their branch and years served in a recognition video. Please email to arobertson@tigersk12.org, message us, or comment below by Tuesday, November 5th.

Our CTA hosted a staff pumpkin decorating contest! The staff members were able to decorate a pumpkin to win a gift card, but we need your help! Please react to the pumpkin photo you would like to see be the winner. The pumpkin with the most reactions will be the winner! We will look to see who has the most votes at noon tomorrow, October 31st!
Junior High Scholar Bowl team competed in the Clever tournament this past Saturday.
-A team and B team placed 5th and 7th overall respectively.
-Individual points per game (average): Emmett Reed placed 6th and Lyla Scott placed 5th.

Rebecca Cossins was recently selected as one of the 2024 "Unsung Heroes of MSTA."
This award acknowledges members who have substantive yet unrecognized contributions to MSTA and their mission "to advocate for and empower public educators so they can teach."

We are heart broken at the loss of one of our former students, Tucker Berry.
Tucker was a huge part of our school and community. Just last week Tucker was volunteering his time at school to show kids safety precautions with fire extinguishers. We will greatly miss Tucker and all he did for our school and community. Tucker’s passion was serving his community. Tucker’s legacy can continue to live through us all if we strive to serve our neighbor the way Tucker did. #liveliketucker

Mrs. Allison is the Arvest Bank- "We Are Teachers" winner at Lockwood Elementary. She received a $500 check from Arvest Bank to spend on her classroom. She does many hands-on projects with her students and recently received a grant for a hydroponics growing system. Congratulations, Mrs. Allison!
