Valentine’s Day was a great day in second grade. We began the day with the cute read aloud “Love Monster”. Students then wrote to the prompt “How I can be kind?”, then they created their very own Love Monster. They finished out their day by showcasing their Valentine’s boxes, sharing cards, and a party hosted by our wonderful PTO and parents.
February (before the snow:) was a busy month of learning and fun projects in second grade.
In honor of President’s Day students learned all about George Washington. They demonstrated their learning through a fun writing and craft project.
The middle school boys' basketball game in Pierce City tonight has been canceled and will not be made up.
Due to road conditions and extreme cold in the morning, there will be no school tomorrow, Friday, February 21st. Make-up days for this week will be March 24, May 19, May 20 and Full day on May 16.
A scheduled notification accidentally went out regarding our basketball games tonight. There are no basketball games tonight in Diamond. Today's games have been moved to tomorrow night, Friday, February 21st. Games in Diamond tomorrow are scheduled to start at 5:00 PM with 2 quarters JV boys, Varsity Girls, and Varsity Boys. Middle school boys are scheduled to play tomorrow at 6:15 in PIerce City.
"Mercy Clinic Lockwood" is available from 9-4 today to provide free sports physicals for our athletes. If your child needs a physical for this spring or next school year and you can make it into town today, you may come as a walk-in for a physical. No appointment is needed.
