Third grade has been working hard learning all about fractions. They did a pizza project to end the unit! They had to create their pizzas, write fractions for each topping, and then write a word problem to go with it.

Patrick Mahomes would be so proud of us! We’ve had so many 4th-6th graders “Reading for 15” the past eight weeks, so we celebrated with Tiger Brew on Friday. Cheers!

First grade had fun with their class book exchange! They each brought a book from home to trade!

Teamwork makes the dream work! Fifth-grade students worked together to break out of their Water Cycle Escape Room while we reviewed for the Science MAP test.

The 4th graders had a guest speaker to kick off 4th quarter. Amy Jo Estes took Mrs. Allison’s Flat Harry Potter to tour Brazil and the Amazon River. She presented pictures from her trip while telling of her adventures (she got to see a sloth!!), and she brought back a sweet treat for everyone to taste. She also even got each student a bracelet made by villagers using açaí plant strands! What a fun cultural experience!

STUCO is hosting a talent show Saturday, April 29 at the high school. Forms with more information have been sent home. Please return completed forms by Tuesday, April 18.

Anyone who is interested in taking dual credit classes through Crowder next school year will need to see Mrs. Eggerman for forms. They are outside her office door at the high school. Even if you have previously taken classes, a new parent permission form and enrollment form will be needed. If you are unsure what to take or think you need a placement test, see Mrs. Eggerman. Stacey Hopper will be visiting on April 13 at 9:00 am to speak with students and give the accuplacer test if needed.
