Results from the Missouri Middle School Track and Field Championships. Teams competed in 2 divisions. Class 1 & 2 schools were in the Small School Division, Class 3, 4, & 5 schools were in the Large School Division. Lockwood Girls finished 4th overall in the Girls Small School Division, Lockwood Boys finished 5th overall in the Boys Small School Division. The top 4 teams in each division earned a plaque, and the top 8 individuals in each event earned a medal. Great job, Tigers!

This week we competed in the SWC Junior High Track Meet. Our girls team won 1st place! Brynley Ogden set a new school record in the 1600 meter run for the 2nd time this season. Peyton Lasater and Hadley Abbiatti also set personal records in the 1600 meters, both with times faster than the original school record at the start of the season. Asa Lasater once again set a new school record in the 100 meter hurdles. The boys 4x400 meter relay team of Roper Gray, Sean Contreras, Lucas Eggerman, and Landry Ogden set a new school record as well! Tomorrow at 10:00 AM we will finish our season by competing in the 1st Annual Middle School State Track Championships in Bolivar! Go Tigers!
There is a new scholarship available to Seniors. It is a $500 scholarship through Arvest Bank. Turnaround is fairly quick, please have applications returned to Mrs. Eggerman by next Friday, May 5th. Blank applications can be found outside her office door.

Mizzou recently had a small reception in honor of Owen Neely where a representative awarded him his certificates of achievement. Previously known, Owen has been awarded the prestigious Stamps Scholarship but he has also received others as well. On top of the Stamps Scholarship, Owen has received the Bright Flight Award, Mizzou Scholars Award, and the Mizzou Alumni Scholarship.
