HS Football Update:
Entry for tomorrow night's district game vs Liberal, by MSHSSA rule, will be $5 for everyone 6 and over and no passes will be accepted.

Mark your calendars for a blood drive at the American Legion Hall Monday, November 22. There is a shortage of blood and an urgent need for donations!


JH GBB Announcements
- Thursday game vs Pierce City has been moved to Monday tentatively
- No games Friday in Pleasant Hope, only games on Saturday.

To close out the Mighty Mite football season, Hong Kong Palace will be serving a lunch buffet Sunday, November 7 from 11 am to 4 pm. Everyone is welcome!

FBLA collected socks during the month of October. They ended up with a little over 300 pairs to donate to the Dade County Christian Center!


Along with celebrating with a parade/party last Thursday, 2nd graders received the book "Pete the Cat-5 little pumpkins" generously donated by sponsors. During the month of September each received "How do Dinosaurs Go to School?". Sponsors donated to help ensure each student could have a book to keep at home!





FCCLA sold cupcakes and did a coin drive for Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks raising $159.25. Mr. Gillen was the coin drive "winner" and shows his support by wearing pink.



Lockwood Elementary had a guest speaker yesterday! Trooper Brad Crockett of the Missouri Highway Patrol Troop D, visited with each grade level at the elementary about making safe choices as part of Red Ribbon Week.





The elementary staff used 101 Dalmatians for their theme for Halloween this year!



Don't forget parent teacher conferences are today from 3:30-7:00! We also don't have school Friday, 10/29 or Monday, 11/1! Have a great weekend!


Due to incoming rain and cold temperatures on Thursday, October 28, we are revamping our Halloween parade. PTO officers will be coming to businesses around 12:30 on Thursday to pick up the donated candy. We will also be live streaming the Halloween parade that will now occur throughout the building on the school's Facebook page. We will begin the parade around 1:45. Thank you so much to all of our businesses for the candy donations.

Attention Elementary: On October 28, we will be having our Halloween parties at school. We are bringing back the parade down Main Street for our elementary students in their costumes. They will be trick-or-treating at the businesses along that strip. Please have your child bring a bag to put their candy in. Parents are welcome to watch the parade on Main Street. We will be leaving the school around 1:30. As a school, we will walk down to the nursing home to allow their residents the opportunity to see our kids dressed up in their costumes. Then the students will return to the school to have their Halloween party. Due to Covid protocol, only PTO room parents will come in so they can run the parties while teachers oversee the events.

FFA Dues are $13 and due October 28!

Notes have been sent out about student flu shots. Dade County Health Department will be coming on October 27. In order for your child to participate, they must have the form filled out and returned to school by that date.
